Terms of Service & Responsibilities

Last updated: March 1, 2026  ·  Effective: March 1, 2026

These Terms govern your use of pupscoops.com and your subscription to Pup Scoops dog waste removal services. By booking service or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

By starting service, you agree to these terms and responsibilities. We keep things simple — no surprises, no fine print traps.

1. Services

Pup Scoops provides scheduled dog waste removal at residential properties. Services include:

  • Removal and disposal of dog waste from your yard or designated area
  • Kennel-grade disinfection of tools and footwear between every property
  • Gate photo confirmation sent via text after each visit
  • Arrival and completion text notifications
  • Optional deodorizer application (one session per month included free; additional sessions billed separately)

2. Service Area

We currently serve residential properties in Beaumont (92223), Banning (92220), Cherry Valley (92223), Yucaipa (92399), Calimesa (92320), and Redlands (92373, 92374, 92375), CA. We reserve the right to decline service outside our coverage area.

3. Access to Your Yard

By signing up for service, you grant Pup Scoops permission to access the designated area of your property on scheduled service days. You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring safe and clear gate access on scheduled days — unlocked gate, no aggressive animals loose in the service area
  • Notifying us in advance if your dog will be present in the service area at the time of the visit
  • Informing us of any hazards, obstacles, or changes to your property
  • Notifying us promptly of any changes in the number of pets on the property

If access is blocked and you are not home, we will make a reasonable attempt to contact you. If we cannot complete service due to access issues — and a reschedule cannot be accommodated due to customer unavailability — you remain responsible for payment of that service visit. Any waste accumulation resulting from a skipped or inaccessible visit may result in a cleanup surcharge at the next scheduled service.

4. Waste Disposal Policy

Residential Services: Customers must provide a designated trash space (e.g., trash bin, dumpster, or compost area) for pet waste disposal. Our team securely bags all waste and places it in the designated space.

Commercial Services or Special Circumstances: For commercial properties or situations where a designated trash space is unavailable, we offer waste removal through local facilities. Additional fees may apply based on volume and frequency.

All waste is disposed of responsibly and in compliance with local waste management regulations.

5. Rescheduling & Missed Cleanups

If you need to reschedule, contact us as early as possible — the more notice we have, the better our chances of locking in a preferred slot.

Customer-initiated skips: If you choose to skip a scheduled visit, that visit is forfeited for the billing cycle. If waste has accumulated between visits as a result, a cleanup surcharge will apply at the next service to account for the extra time and labor. This charge will be reflected transparently on your invoice.

Missed visits on our end: If we miss a scheduled cleanup, we will reschedule at no charge. If we are unable to reschedule within the billing cycle, the visit will be credited to your next invoice.

Credit adjustments: When a cleanup credit is issued, we reserve the right to adjust the service to the next tier down for that billing cycle (e.g., from Weekly to Bi-Weekly) to accurately reflect the visits completed.

6. Weather Policy

Hazardous weather conditions may delay or prevent service. Affected cleanups will be rescheduled whenever possible, or credited to your next invoice if a reschedule cannot be arranged within the billing cycle. We will notify you promptly if your visit is impacted.

7. Billing & Payments

Monthly billing: Service is billed monthly. Payment is due at or before the first completed service visit of each month, unless otherwise specified on your invoice. You are never charged before a visit has occurred.

First-visit fee: A one-time initial cleanup fee may apply based on the time elapsed since your yard was last cleaned. This fee is disclosed at booking and applies to the first visit only.

Pause fee: If service is paused for more than 15 consecutive days, a $25 cleanup fee may be applied upon resumption to account for waste accumulation during the pause period.

Payment methods: We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover via our secure online client portal (Jobber). A card on file is required to begin service.

Additional fees: Extra dogs, large yards, and certain add-ons incur additional charges as disclosed at time of booking. Customer fees and promotions are subject to change.

8. Unpaid Balances

Balances are due at or before the first cleanup of each month, unless otherwise specified on your invoice. If payment cannot be made, service will be paused — however, any visits that occurred while the balance was unpaid remain the financial responsibility of the customer. Pausing service does not waive charges already incurred.

Unpaid balances follow this escalation schedule:

  • 14 days past due: Service is paused. You remain responsible for any charges incurred between the due date and reactivation.
  • 30 days past due: Account is suspended. Service cannot be reactivated until the full balance is paid.
  • 45 days past due: Account is referred to collections.
  • 60 days past due: A one-time 20% late fee is added to the outstanding balance.
  • 90+ days past due: An additional 15% fee is applied to the remaining balance every 30 days until paid in full.

We will always attempt to reach you before escalating. If you're having trouble making payment, please contact us — we'd rather find a solution than refer anything to collections.

9. Cancellation & Pausing Service

No contracts, no lock-ins. You can cancel or pause your service at any time with no cancellation fees.

  • Either party may terminate service at any time.
  • Cancellations or pauses should be submitted through your Jobber client portal or by contacting us at least 48 hours before your next scheduled visit.
  • If service is paused for longer than 30 days and the yard is found to be unkept upon resumption, a new initial cleanup fee may be assessed.
  • If service has already been performed within the current billing cycle, you will be invoiced for completed visits.

10. Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with a service visit, contact us within 24 hours and we will return to re-scoop at no charge. We do not issue refunds for completed visits except at our sole discretion.

11. Liability

Pup Scoops will take reasonable care when accessing your property. We are not responsible for:

  • Damages to yards, gates, pets, or other property
  • Pre-existing damage to gates, fences, landscaping, or structures
  • Damage caused by conditions you failed to disclose
  • Injury to or caused by animals that are loose in the service area during our visit
  • Acts of nature, weather events, or conditions beyond our control

Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific visit in question. Please notify us promptly if your payment details need updating to avoid any interruption in service.

12. Photography

As part of our service, we photograph your gate at the close of each visit for confirmation purposes. By using our services, you consent to this practice. Photos depict only the exterior gate area and are never shared publicly.

13. Holidays — No Service

We do not provide service on the following dates. Visits falling on these days will be rescheduled whenever possible; otherwise, the visit will be credited to your next invoice.

President's Day (2/17) Memorial Day (5/26) Independence Day (7/4) Labor Day (9/1) Halloween (10/31) Veteran's Day (11/11) Thanksgiving Week (11/26–11/29) Christmas Break (12/24–12/27) New Year's Eve (12/31)

14. Intellectual Property

All content on pupscoops.com — including the Pup Scoops name, logo, website design, and written content — is the property of Pup Scoops and may not be reproduced without written permission.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Riverside County, California.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Active clients will be notified of material changes via email or text. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
